e: Miss Fabiola Fernandez

Fabiola graduated in 2007 from a five year degree in Telecommunication Engineering in the University of Sevilla, Spain, where she received a Master degree in 2008 in Automatic Control, Robotics and Telematics. After finishing her degree she started working as a research associated in the Biomedical Engineering Group of the School of Engineering. Within this group and from 2008 she joined the Biomedical Research Networking Centre in Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN), a consortia led by Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII).

In 2010, Fabiola has started her PhD at IMSaT as a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher on the European project Integrated Interventional Imaging Operating System (IIIOS). During her thesis, she will be working in establishing a method for development of workflows and the improvement of ergonomics workflow for minimally invasive vascular radiology interventions in multimodality image-guided procedures. She also hopes to provide an optimal layout model of a Hybrid Imaging Operating Suite.
